Learn To Draw Exotic Animals is a great drawing book for children.
One of the drawing books we found at the library was Learn To Draw Exotic Animals. It is part of a Walter Foster Jr Series. I was very impressed with this book. There are 18 books in this collection. Robbin Cuddy is the illustrator.
Why it I like this drawing book
Learn to Draw Exotic Animals shows how to draw 28 different animals. There is a map at the beginning of the book that shows where the animals can be found in the world. Each of the animals featured has a page with color photos and fun facts and details about the animal. There are step by step pencil drawings to help you draw each animal. I like that it teaches children how to draw a variety of animals and some interesting things about the animal as well.
Ed Emberly drawing books
When my children were young we had several Ed Emberley books. His drawing books are great for young children and have been around for a long time. Our library has a nice collection of his books. Ed Emberley’s Drawing Book of Animals shows how to draw cartoon-like animals using simple shapes, letters and numbers in a step by step format. The animals are simple, but have lots of personality.
Drawing books make great gifts!
Drawing books are gifts that will get used again and again! You may want to get some from your library and see which ones catch your grandchildren’s attention. Surprise them with their own copy for their birthday or a special occasion.
